Hi. I admire your strength and I hope I can be as strong as you. My baby is due may 27 th and he has a similar problem. Will I ever be prepared for this? By the way Tristan is so beautiful.

I stumbled upon your post as I search aortic atresia from time to time. about 4 month before your angel went to heaven, mine did as well. Maddox was here for 10 hours yet he spent most of it in the icu and on a plane being lifeflighted to atlanta ( where he died)…as his defect was not detected until he was born and he immediatly turned blue and stopped breathing….
You are very strong.. I am coming up on Maddox’s one year.. June 28th…it still hurts but its a different kind of hurt now. Feel free to write me if you need to chat. I live in Savannah, Georgia and I am a entertainment reporter and news anchor for FOX and ABC so my story was pretty public here.. stay strong ! =-)

I found your blog while searching for clues on how to get through a pregnancy. My daughter was diagnosed at 20 weeks with aortic atresia. I am now only 24 weeks along and the journey is so heartbreaking. I still break down at least once a day. How did you survive the pregnancy? I would appreciate any advice you have.
